Why not just a Mezcal Tasting? Why an Agave Spirits tasting?
During the time we have been offering mezcal tastings, we have discovered that most of our visitors can not differentiate between the big diversity of agave spirits, such as tequila, mezcal, sotol, raicilla, etc. By when the tasting finish, exist this feeling that there is a lot of missing information. That's why we have decided to desing a tasting in which visitors can learn more about the different spirits obtained from agave, and more important, TRY THEM! so they can be able to know what exactly are they drinking. If you just focus a tasting on mezcal or tequila, you're missing a lot of interconnected information that it's so important to understand how Agave Spirits have evolve in order to keep in the preference of the consumers all around the world.
What we are going to do?
We will meet at La Flor de Jamaica, there you will learn the history and importance of this old store. Then we will guide you to our private speakeasy which is located at our classic chili warehouse.
There we will start with our tasting. You will learn which were the first spirits obtained from agave, and from there we will guide you into the time line of agave spirits until our days. From Tequila to Mezcal, trying some different versions of them. In a very cozy and confortable ambient.
At the same time, we will offer you some mini plates or samples carefully selected to show you how to pair the spirits in creative ways.
Our main goal is to let you know the enormous diversity and complexity that exist around the agave spirits, so next time you try them, you can really appreciate the depth in this amazing spirits.

This is the experience for those who don't want the typical Mezcal tasting but a deeper experience to try and learn much more about the diversity in agave spirits.
